The closest thing to a degree in English literature here is Translation and Interpreting, also I really like Translation and Interpreting, but I am not sure wheter it could help me get into the publishing industry or not. To be honest, the publishing industry in my country is almost non-existent, I would love to work as a publisher in a foreign country, but I was wondering if I need a degree in literature/journalism/communication for that. Having already published books on various platforms we understand the problems facing the author and in particular the new author wanting to promote and publish their own work. Of course, I am not saying I don't appreciate literature in my native language, I just prefer English literature and I'm not really into Caribbean literature. My native language is Spanish and in my degree I would choose Chinese and English as my target languages to translate from (or into, maybe).
